Cuyahoga River Waterline Crossing

The City of Munroe Falls currently has only one active waterline crossing the Cuyahoga River providing potable water to the northern half of the city. The second river crossing line at the same location was removed from service due to a series of leaks, which were not readily repairable. A replacement river crossing would effectively loop the city’s water system, improving water quality and ensuring safe and reliable drinking water to the communities north of the

Cuyahoga River. The project includes the installation of a new 12” water main under the Cuyahoga River in Brust Park, adjacent to the State Route 91 bridge over the Cuyahoga River. This alternative requires 575 linear feet of 12” water main and 350 linear feet of 24” jack and bored casing pipe. The total project cost for this alternative is estimated at $1,300,000.
